I really like product launches and I always get inspired when looking at all sorts of product launches to derive experiences for the products I am currently working on. I actually think competitor research and staying up to date with the newest developments or trends in the product space is an important aspect in the work of a product manager.

Recently, I started to do this in a more structured way and created some lists with the product launches that were particularly inspiring for me for various reasons. I think the ideas and comments about the launches I describe can also be inspiring for everyone else and thus I might just share this list and maybe even create some discussions around it.

Have a look at the April 2021 Edition, too!

My Airtable list for products launched in May 2021

The products here are in no particular order. However, if you are interested in the categorised Airtable list that can be sorted and copied, I am happy to share this with you. However, as I am building an audience it would be great if you could also follow me on LinkedIn and Medium in order to support me in exchange ;-).

1. PrinciplesYou

PrinciplesYou was created by Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, and psychologists Dr. Adam Grant, Dr. Brian Little and Dr. John Golden. It brings together their expertise, combining best-in-class assessment frameworks and leading personality science.

Self assessments are always a nice lead magnet and I think the value proposition on the landing page fo PrinciplesYou is very promising for people working in the finance and business world.

2. Buddymove

The Buddymove app constantly analyses how long you’ve been working on your computer and chooses the perfect moment for you to take a break, during which it will show you a set of exercises to help you feel healthier at work.

It is sometimes really bad for your general health to have all meeting from home in front of your computer. Buddymove is a nice way to work against this and get you moving to make sure you can get some exercise no matter how stressful work is.

3. UserHunt

Hunt down accounts by username across social networks.

This is a really scary tool but I think many people use the same name at least for some social profiles. To create a tool that searches all these profiles is a really nice idea but only from a tech perspective.

4. Dashblock

Dashblock allows you to build resilient browser automations without coding, and trigger those automations from an API. Integrate with your favorite apps in one click to build sophisticated workflows from simple blocks.

5. SayHey

Yes. I am really a big fan of bulk link builders. SayHey provides a nice way to show your followers or any other type of group a couple of links in a visually interesting way.

6. Personal Websites

7. Facebook Cover Maker

I sometimes see very nice and beautifully looking facebook or linkedin pages where background and profile pic fit perfectly. With this Facebook Cover Maker you can create exactly this.

8. Timezo

Free tool to share events so that everyone can see the time of the event in their correct time zone, without having to calculate it manually.

Its always annoying to look up times when you casually meet with people from different time zones. Timezo provides a nice solution for that.

It finally happened! The Notion API beta is live. I am really curious how many new ideas and concepts we will see executed in the next months. Great communication by Notion during the development phase as well.
